PRWeek Women of Distinction

First Deadline: Jan. 19 / Final Deadline: Jan. 26

PRWeek has refreshed Hall of Femme for 2022 to its new branding as Women of Distinction. Supplemented by our Women to Watch program, both initiatives honor inspiring women who, nominated by their peers and colleagues, set the bar higher within their organizations. These two groups of established and up-and-coming U.S. PR professionals are setting the standard for other women working in communications and supercharging their brands to help them exceed their business goals and achieve creative excellence. “It was time to retire the Hall of Femme nomenclature and rebrand the scheme as something more redolent of the women who are shaping this dynamic and increasingly influential profession,” said Steve Barrett, VP, editorial director, PRWeek. “The Women of Distinction and Women to Watch classes of 2022 will be an inspiration to everyone working in PR.”

PRWeek Healthcare & Pharma Awards

First Deadline: Feb. 2 / Final Deadline: Feb. 9

The PRWeek U.S. Healthcare + Pharma Communications Awards showcase and celebrate the best campaigns, projects, agencies, in-house teams and individuals across the fast-growing healthcare and pharmaceutical PR sectors. Healthcare has long been an important part of the PR economy, spanning pharmaceuticals, hospital systems, public health, medical devices and care providers. This specialist area of communication has taken on an even more crucial role in the ecosystem over the past two years, especially during the COVID-19 crisis, which has caused huge challenges for everyone. Almost every story or narrative is now told through a healthcare lens and purpose marketing has put greater emphasis on organizations to hone their messaging. PRWeek’s new awards program will honor the best practice that is spearheading one of the most dynamic, innovative and important areas of the PR industry and provide inspiration that everyone can learn from.

PRWeek Awards

Now celebrating its 23rd year, the PRWeek Awards are firmly established as the communications industry’s highest accolade. Winning campaigns not only bring praise to the companies they serve but also shed light on the issues that matter. These activations are inclusive, provocative, sometimes controversial but always inspiring. They are visual, viral, visceral and get to the core of issues that may be thought about but are rarely addressed in a public forum. A PRWeek Award is a unique symbol of excellence, leadership and immediately sets victors apart from all others. It celebrates the best of the best corporate, agency, nonprofit and education teams, and the work they produce.

PRWeek Purpose Awards

The global COVID-19 pandemic has many searching for meaning. With so many either out of work or working in new limited capacities, it’s not surprising that individuals and companies have been reassessing their core values, which, during times like these, comes to light instantly. Some scramble to change behavior to match evolving consumer and stakeholder expectations. For others, the transition to a more purposeful world may come a bit easier simply because they are remaining true to themselves and how they engage their customers and employees.

The Purpose Awards recognizes activations that use creative ideas to further positive causes and also to acknowledge the organizations and individuals behind them. As consumers and potential staffers increasingly insist on brands they engage with and organizations they work for communicating what they believe in and standing up publicly for those values, winning a Purpose Award is the perfect way to demonstrate your organization’s authenticity in this crucial area.

“The 40 Under 40 alumni from the past decade represent a who’s who of communications and many honorees have gone on to senior positions in the industry,” said Steve Barrett, VP, editorial director of PRWeek.
