In no more than two sentences: describe the past year, and make predictions for 2020.

Twenty-nineteen was a great year for our team, not without its challenges, admittedly, but the team were strong and delivered well. Pharma comms continues to be a challenge, and this will continue in 2020, with the challenge in NHS funding and uncertainty about leaving the EU.

In a sentence: what is your biggest professional challenge for 2020?

Keeping the team motivated during times of massive internal change.

What has been your favourite campaign of the past year? (Not one you were involved in.)

The ‘Seal of Approval’ from Virgin Media made me smile.

…And who most poorly?

Prince Andrew, without a doubt!

Which newspaper, broadcast news outlet or website is now most vital to keeping you informed?

I give a big shout-out to our media monitoring team.

In a sentence: what is the single most important aspect of the debate surrounding corporate purpose?

It’s not the corporate purpose that’s important any longer; personal purpose will drive businesses forward and ensure a sustainable organisation.

What’s the single most important thing the industry should do to encourage more diversity?

Employ talent, irrespective of anything else.

The industry jargon or buzzword that annoys me most is…

‘Deep dive’.

I can’t start the day without…

My alarm going off.

One surprising thing about me is…

I’m a trained hypnotherapist.
