Photographic big shot Agfa-Gevaert has called in Harvard PR to
publicise its range of digital cameras.
The agency, which won an estimated pounds 50,000 fee contract last week,
will also increase awareness of Agfa’s desktop publishing scanners.
Agfa makes three models of digital camera: StudioCam for still life
photography, ActionCam for live-action shots and the smaller snapshot
camera e Photo 307. The filmless cameras can store over 72 exposures
which can then be downloaded directly into the users computer.
The 12-month PR campaign will focus on informing a business audience
about the cameras and seven digital scanners via the expanding PC and
Macintosh trade press as well as the national media.
Harvard associate director Fraser Butters said the agency’s combination
of consumer and hi-tech experience made it a ’perfect fit’ for Agfa.
