Leedex is to lose another senior staff member with the resignation
of board director Deborah Lewis.
The news comes just a few weeks after agency managing director Jane
Howard handed in her notice (PR Week, 7 February).
Like Howard, Lewis is understood to be unhappy with the way Leedex’s
parent, the Birkdale Group, is running the company.
Lewis joined Leedex four years ago from Text 100. She is an account
director on the agency’s Beneficial Bank, Unichem and estimated pounds
200,000-fee Kodak business which she pulled in last September.
She is expected to serve a six month notice period. When she leaves her
clients will be looked after by director Sarah Muirhead, one of two
remaining directors along with Sarah King. The other director Jane Smith
is on maternity leave.
Muirhead said Leedex is close to announcing Howard’s replacement . ’It’s
dissapointing for the team,’ she said, referring to Howard and Lewis’
departures. ’But life goes on.’
