Simon Brocklebank-Fowler this month launched his financial and
investor relations agency, Cubitt Consulting(see Profile, left) with a
bang ... and a few ruffled feathers.
The agency is named afte the architect who designed parts of Pimlico,
Thomas Cubitt. His statue, Brocklebank-Fowler tells me, is ’around the
corner from my house’.
Gardening leave from Citigate over, he is now free to go out and win his
own clients. To celebrate he took a collection of Cubitt contacts
shooting at Cranborne in Dorset.
He was joined by Anthony Myers, chief operating officer of fund manager
Invesco Europe, building society Bradford and Bingley chief executive
Chris Rodriguez, and investment bank West LB Panmure marketing director
George Knight.
’The guests reflected the agency’s aspiration in terms of client
business which will be board level within the financial sector,’ said
Brocklebank-Fowler. The party mostly shot pheasants, although one
unfortunate pigeon was grounded by the host’s brother, Tim
Brocklebank-Fowler, a director at SG Investment Management.
Brocklebank-Fowler assures me his a better shot than his brother, at
least when it comes to targeting the board room.
