Leading contract publisher Redwood Publishing has appointed
Fishburn Hedges, a sister firm within the Abbott Mead Vickers group, to
raise its corporate profile.
FH, which was appointed without a pitch, will work to increase awareness
of the contract publishing sector and of Redwood’s position within it.
Redwood did not have an incumbent PR agency.
The publishing company’s managing director and founder, Mike Potter,
said: ’While over half of the top 50 brands have a customer magazine,
the contract publishing sector has only begun to scratch the surface of
its potential market. We want more chief executives to have a better
understanding of Redwood’s work.’
The account will be led by FH chief executive Neil Hedges.
Redwood publishes three of the seven most widely read UK magazines: Sky
TV Guide, with a readership of 5.9 million, M&S Magazine, which has 4.5
million readers and AA Magazine, with a readership of 3.8 million.
