Andersen Consulting, the IT management consultancy arm of Arthur
Andersen, is on the hunt for a hi-tech agency to work on two top secret
projects in the technology industry.
Head of PR Kim Badland confirmed she had held talks with hi-tech agency
Firefly and is scheduled to see at least three more firms with the aim
of making an appointment before Christmas.
Badland was not able to discuss the nature of the projects for
competitive reasons, but they are expected to kick off within the next
six months.
‘We have got a number of projects which will boost Andersen Consulting’s
image on the technology front and want to see how a specialist IT
organisation can work with us and what new thinking they can bring,’ she
said.
The chosen agency will work alongside the company’s retained agency of
eight years, Burson-Marsteller.
B-M has handled a range of strategic PR consultancy work including
business to business, corporate and media relations in Europe, North and
South America, and the Far East.
Badland is also trawling for at least one senior financial services PR
specialist to join the in-house communications department of three.
The appointment is designed to boost the division’s specialist knowledge
of the financial industry.
Andersen Consulting’s clients have included Barclays, The Stock Exchange
and Ford.
