Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

The Carbon Trust has reined in its use of public affairs agencies.

TLG confirmed that it was no longer working with the publicly funded body, having been appointed in 2008.

Bell Pottinger Public Affairs has appointed Conservative Party councillor Steve Summers as an account director, working in its local government and planning unit. Summers has been a member of Westminster City Council since 2006.

Mark McGANN, Weber Shandwick's former Brussels boss, has resurfaced at NYSE Euronext as senior vice-president, head of European government affairs and public advocacy.

Interel, a fully owned subsidiary of marcoms group Hasgrove, has formed an agency partnership with Patri, an 80-strong public affairs consultancy in Brazil.
