INTERNATIONAL: ICN elevates Gryzunov to broader European role

MOSCOW: US drugs company ICN Pharmaceuticals has promoted Sergei Gryzunov, its vice-president public relations and communications for Russia and eastern Europe, to the new post of vice-president public relations and communications for Europe.

Gryzunov, its vice-president public relations and communications for

Russia and eastern Europe, to the new post of vice-president public

relations and communications for Europe.



Gryzunov, who started work this month at the company’s European

headquarters in Moscow, will report to Milan Padic, chairman and CEO of

ICN Pharmaceuticals.



He will be responsible for the company’s relations with the media,

governments and the medical community across Europe.



Padic said: ’Mr Gryzunov’s knowledge of communications has been an asset

to ICN as we execute our strategy of becoming the leading pharmaceutical

company in Russia and eastern Europe. His wide experience will make him

a tremendous addition to our European management team’.



Prior to joining ICN, Gryzunov was Russia’s minister of press and

information from 1994 to 1996.



ICN manufactures and markets pharmaceuticals and biotechnology research

products. It employs Edelman for its US PR, while the European PR is

handled in-house.
