The Waterfront Partnership has won a three-way pitch to handle

public affairs for the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive

(SYPTE).

Waterfront beat Connect Public Affairs and Shandwick to the account,

which was previously held by GPC Connect (now Connect Public

Affairs).

The account had been due to pass to GPC Market Access following

Connect’s buy-out from its former parent company, Omnicom, when the

review came up last December.

Waterfront will provide SYPTE with policy analysis and advice and will

seek to raise its media profile. The most immediate issue facing the

executive is the planned white paper on integrated transport policy, due

out this spring.
