Reggie Watts, who quit as deputy chairman of Citigate Corporate in June,
has joined the board of financial agency Grandfield as a non-executive
His brief is to help Grandfield in its ‘next stage of development’
focusing on growing corporate and strategic business. The agency, formed
via a management buy-out from the old Saatchi and Saatchi Group - now
Cordiant - two years ago has fees of around pounds 1 million and a staff
of 25. Its three areas of business are financial and corporate PR;
design; and public affairs.
Grandfield director Brigid Wilkins said that although the agency had no
previous links with Watts, it had worked with ‘a number of clients who
had worked with him’.
‘Having completed the management buy-out two years ago we felt we could
benefit in phase two of our growth from someone who has grown businesses
before and learned lessons from the growth cycles.’
She added that Grandfield would look to benefit from Watts’ experience
of management and training.
