Diary: Geller bends more than Borkowski’s ear on what really gets up his nose

Uri Geller may have bent a few canteens of cutlery in his time but now, thanks to Mark Borkowski, he can claim a more in ya face dimension to his act.

Uri Geller may have bent a few canteens of cutlery in his time but

now, thanks to Mark Borkowski, he can claim a more in ya face dimension

to his act.

Borkowski recently met Geller to discuss his involvement in future PR

for BT’s new Internet service LineOne. He was unable to resist the

temptation of asking Geller to perform, but, in exchange, offered to

demonstrate his own party turn: the old ’tea spoon up the nostril’

trick.

Thus tempted, Geller proceeded to bend a tea spoon - while it was stuck

up the Mark Borkowski PR MD’s hooter.

’It was amazing,’ Borkowski tells me. ’He just stroked the spoon’s shaft

and it started curling up inside my nose. It even carried on bending

when I took it out.’

Ever one to get close to his clients, Borkowski says he picked up the

trick from his circus entertainer client Jim Rose during the early hours

of an Edinburgh Festival morning.

Fresh from his triumph with Uri Geller, does Borkowski now have any

showbiz aspirations himself? ’I certainly don’t wish to perform on

stage,’ he insists. ’In smoky rooms, maybe, but certainly not in

public.’

Visitors to the offices of Mark Borkowski PR may well, however, be

advised to decline sugar with their tea.
