He is to become vice president, global communications at LM Glasfiber in Amsterdam. The Danish company will announce a global rebranding initiative within the next month, which Springham will spearhead alongside the five-strong in-house team.

Springham said: ‘I've always wanted to work in some aspect of renewable energy/engineering and return to a global in-house communications role at some point in the hope of another international move.'

He had been at Luther Pendragon for almost eight years and had been instrumental in winning briefs with firms such as The Energy Saving Trust, Boeing, Continental Airlines and Drax Power.

Previously he was director, media relations, at Rolls-Royce and spent 12 years in various international communications roles with Mobil Oil. He was also seconded to the second Clinton Administration to work in international media relations.
