Cake bolsters digital team with appointment of former employee Jez Jowett

Cake has bolstered its digital offering by appointing Jez Jowett, a former employee at the agency, as global digital director.

Jowett previously co-founded the new media division of the agency. He left Cake in 2007 but has now returned following a period of consulting work.

Mike Mathieson, CEO, Cake, said: 'We're thrilled to be welcoming Jez back into the fold ... and to be building the team alongside him.'

Jowett will be supported by newly appointed Jono Marcus as digital communications director, who joins from Hill & Knowlton, and Tim Whirledge, who has been recruited from Ogilvy UK as digital planner.
