The Jockey Club has hired Weber Shandwick co-head of sport Scott Bowers as director of communications. He will increase the sport's attractiveness to consumers, sponsors and investors.

The Saga Group has a brief out to handle its financial comms. Lansons Communications is the incumbent.

Ogilvy has been picked to help launch low-carbon restaurant chain Otarian.

Mandate Communications has appointed Lis Field as a director in its corporate PR team. She is a former director at Four Communications.

Electronic Arts has revised its PR agency support. Shine Communications has lost the EA Sports account to Threepipe, but retains other work. There is also an expanded role for Mischief and Clifford French has been appointed.
