The Royal Opera House has filled the newly created post of
marketing, press and publications director with the appointment of

Shaw has been deputy executive director of English National Ballet since
1996, where his responsibilities currently include marketing, press, PR
and education. He joined the organisation in 1989 as public affairs
director, before being promoted in 1995.
He fills a post which was partially covered by Judy Graham, the former
director of external relations who quit in October. Since then PR has
been handled in-house by press head Amanda Jones.
The Royal Opera House is known to have contacted PR agencies last year
to refresh its image and promote its refurbished Covent Garden building
(PR Week, 13 November).
