Wool marketing body The International Wool Secretariat (IWS) has

appointed former Asda PR manager Jeni Cropper to co-ordinate global PR.

Cropper is now looking for a PR agency with international experience to

assist with her communication plans for the IWS, which owns the Woolmark

brand.

Under the title of international PR and trade communications manager,

Cropper will be responsible for creating trade and consumer PR

strategies for IWS’ 20-plus worldwide branches.

She left Asda’s six-strong PR division earlier this year to take up a

temporary job handling Vauxhall/Opel’s sponsorship of Euro ’96.

Reporting to the IWS’ head of marketing David Conners Cropper will

promote the development of yarns and fabrics such as the new wool/Lycra

mix called New Suit.

She will also communicate with the trade via titles like Drapers

media.
