- What is it good for?

Perfect for lunch every day, eat in or takeaway, and for informal business lunches and early dinners. Wholesome and authentic sushi and Japanese dishes are made with the freshest and finest ingredients. Tsuru offers superior Japanese food at affordable prices. It also serves Asahi beer and sake, of course.

- Signature dish

Tsuru's katsu curry chicken and vegetarian, which features its famous '8-hour' curry sauce. Apparently 16 ingredients are used in an 8-hour cooking process to produce the famous flavour-packed curry sauce. There is a huge selection of sushi boxes and hot bento boxes, soups and katsu sands.

- Who's the boss?

Owned by three friends - Kensuke Yamada, a trained chef who develops the menu, Emma Reynolds, who handles the operations, and Jonathan Zimmern on the financial side.

- Tips please

There are regular events such as sushi making and sake tastings, which are very popular. It gets very busy at lunchtime.
