Flack: Bishopsgate Comms on fire

Financial PR agency Bishopsgate Comms was on fire last week. Literally.

Brands2Life got a beating this week from The Guardian's Ben Goldacre in his 'Bad Science' column. He expressed scepticism over a story about the number of dead cockroaches, bed bugs and fleas found on trains, put out by Brands2Life on behalf of client Rentokil. Goldacre accused Rentokil of making 'everyone afraid of public transport on a PR whim'. Brands2Life co-founder Giles Fraser said it was an 'honest mistake'. The press release referred to the data as an average, instead of a 'worst case scenario'. Oops!
