PR EUROPE: VIENNA - Publico to promote the Euro

The Austrian finance ministry has selected Publico PR and Lobbying to organise a public information campaign on the single European currency.

to organise a public information campaign on the single European

currency.



The promotion will be launched in September and will run until the end

of 1998, with a budget of just under pounds 500,000 for this year, a

third of which the agency hopes to earn in fees. The contract was

awarded this month after a competitive pitch with Austrian agencies DDB

Needham Heye and Partner, IKP, Temmel and Seywald, and Unique. The

single currency, the Euro, is due to be in public use by 2002.
