PR EUROPE: DUBLIN - Murray battle hits the High Court

A legal battle between shareholders of a major Irish PR firm, Murray Consultants, is to go to the country’s High Court in the latest stage of a long-running dispute (PR Week 6 Dec, 1996). Terence Horgan, who owns nearly a third of the firm, is claiming ’oppression’ of a shareholder and wants the company’s two directors, Joe Murray and Jim Milton, to buy out his shares. Horgan, who left the company last November after 23 years, said he was taking action because he had no other means to support himself.
