The obsession with PR people among Millennium Dome cognoscenti has
reached such a height that one practitioner will now feature in the
dome.
Maverick managing director Ardi Kolah has agreed to have his upcoming
wedding documented in an exhibition in the faith zone.
The zone will feature photos of people of different religious
denominations getting married. The photographers will try to capture the
most significant moment in each of the ceremonies.
Kolah is a Zoroastrian and, as such, a rare breed. Although famous
people like Freddie Mercury and Indira Gandhi’s husband Seroze were
brought up in the faith, there are only 80,000 Zoroastrians in
existence, partly because you have to be born into the religion.
The dome organisers got in touch with Kolah’s temple in London looking
for a couple about to get married, and were given his number.
To add to the excitement, Kolah has discovered he shares his wedding
list agency with Sophie Rhys-Jones.
Bizarrely, the dome is sending Tim Page, famous for his photographs of
the Vietnam conflict, to record the wedding.
To add to the contrast, the ceremony is taking place at Nonsuch Mansion
in Cheam. ’I like the idea of an old English country house setting with
ladies in saris,’ says Kolah.
