Flack: (saving) on expenses - Pho, London EC1

Reviewer: Elizabeth Leach, PR consultant, Polhill Communications

- What is it good for?

Fast, fresh, super-healthy Vietnamese food served in a contemporary environment - perfect for informed business lunches or more relaxed evening bites.

- Signature dishes?

Pho specialises in pho, a nutritious noodle soup that comes with a range of meats, prawns, veg and Asian spices, which is the national dish of Vietnam. The restaurant also offers other Vietnamese street fare for those looking for something a bit different.

- Who's the boss?

Husband and wife duo Stephen and Juliette Wall opened Pho after a trip to Vietnam five years ago. You will find them chipping in at one of their three London locations.

- Tips please?

It is a popular place and although service and turnaround are quick, it is still worth turning up early to avoid a lunchtime queue.

- What's the damage?

Starter and main will come in at under £15. There is a range of sensibly priced wine and Vietnamese beers.

Pho, 86 St John Street, London EC1M 4EH.
