Ireland’s main government party Fianna Fail has named Tom Reddy as
its press director. His appointment follows the departure of Mary
Kerrigan, who left to join Ireland on Sunday as political editor when it
launched last month. Reddy joins from the Irish Independent where he was
crime correspondent and spent two years as Brussels correspondent. He
reports to general secretary Pat Farrell and runs a three-strong press
office.
He will also handle internal communications working with backbench MPs.
