The global authority on record-breaking achievement will offer its in-house PR service to event organisers who invite a Guinness World Records official to verify their record attempts.
The PR service will be offered in the UK, Ireland, US and Canada from today.
Head of adjudications Andrea Banfi said: ‘We've seen a growing need in publicity support from our claimants who realise the enormous marketing value in organizing a Guinness World Records attempt, but lack the right expertise to publicise the event.'
She added: ‘Our thinking is that with the new PR service we'll be able to add to our clients' campaigns and better position them in the media, thanks to the fundamental understanding of the Guinness World Records brand that our in-house press department holds.'
The PR service will include press release writing, distribution, pitching, social media outreach and press management among other areas of support.
