STOP PRESS: Centrica looks to fill Lewis vacancy

Centrica, the former supply arm of British Gas, has briefed headhunters CCG Ward Howell to seek a two-year replacement for Simon Lewis, the company’s director of corporate affairs who is being seconded to Buckingham Palace as communications secretary in September. The post reports to Centrica chief executive Roy Gardner and oversees 15 people covering media relations, internal communications, community relations and public affairs. Lewis has held the post since 1996 and is expected to return to it in 2000.
