Hill and Knowlton has netted the pounds 100,000-plus PR account for the
BT Global Challenge round the world charity yacht race.
The agency’s London office will handle international media relations
for the 10-month race. It will also co-ordinate the work of
consultancies in the five stop-over cities along the race’s 30,000 mile
MaryLee Sachs, MD of H&K’s marketing communications division, said the
programme would have different emphases, for example, all of the UK
being targeted during the British leg, and business leaders and
potential partners as the focus in regions where BT is less well known.
