INTERNATIONAL: Gray hired to bolster Citigate’s US PR operation

NEW YORK: Citigate Communications has appointed James Gray as its first president for North America as it enters a phase of strengthening its US PR operations.

NEW YORK: Citigate Communications has appointed James Gray as its

first president for North America as it enters a phase of strengthening

its US PR operations.



Gray, who will be based in New York, is a former president of US

operations at Manning Selvage and Lee which he left four years ago to

become president of the PR division at Brouillard Communications, the

corporate advertising and PR agency owned by advertising agency J Walter

Thompson.



Citigate Communications in New York sits within the framework of its

advertising agency Citigate Albert Frank and CAF’s managing director Jim

Sanfevero previously oversaw its team of 15 PR staff. Both companies are

owned by media services company Incepta Group.



Gray will report to London-based Incepta chief executive David Wright.

Fifty per cent of the agency’s PR fee income in New York comes from

investor relations work.



Citigate has also bought Chicago agency Deborah Gordon PR, which employs

11 staff. Founder Deborah Gordon will continue to run the agency which

has been renamed Citigate DG PR.



Citigate Communications also has offices in Los Angeles and San

Francisco.
