PR agencies FFI Beatwax and Bastion have won a five-way pitch to
jointly promote the new Virgin Interactive computer game, Resident Evil
FFI Beatwax, whose fees for the five-month contract are pounds 25,000,
will organise events surrounding the Resident Evil 2 launch later this
Proposed stunts include serving human-shaped kebabs outside record shops
nationwide the night before it is released. FFI’s clients also include
music festival V98 and Evian mineral water.
Bastion, which is employed on a retainer by Virgin Interactive, will
handle media relations, targeting the consumer press in particular.
The agency also handles product PR for selected Virgin game titles which
include Blade Runner, Red Alert and Doom 2000.
