STOP PRESS: Three new recruits for LGA

The Local Government Association has appointed three staff to its press and campaign team. Brendan Murphy joins as chief press officer after leaving the Sun, where he was a political reporter. Murphy’s predecessor Mark Oakes left last year to head PR at Essex County Council. Jerry March joins as a press officer from the Municipal Journal, where he was deputy political editor. Daniel Burke moves to become government relations and public affairs officer from English Heritage, where he was a policy adviser.
