Appletiser calls in Phipps PR to reconnect with consumers following a three-way pitch

Appletiser has brought in Phipps PR to reconnect the brand with consumers.

The brand, which is distributed by Coca-Cola Enterprises, has chosen the agency following a three-way pitch believed to be against Lexis PR and incumbent Publicasity.

Phipps has been handed a retained brief to encourage consumers to rethink their views on the fizzy drink.

Emma Turner, who heads up the account, said that consumers had a nostalgic view of the drink, but that they knew little about it.

‘Our campaign will centre on summer and Christmas spikes. We will emphasise that the drink is 100 per cent fruit juice and counts as part of someone’s five a day,' she said.

The brand launched its new ‘Enjoy Irresponsibly’ tagline six months ago.

Phipps PR's other clients include Champagne Lanson, Tio Pepe and Green & Blacks.
