Formerly known as the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency, Becta is leading the national drive to use technology for learning. A key part of the drive is the annual forum.
This year's forum took place last month and featured speeches from senior members of the Government such as Gordon Brown, Peter Mandelson and Ed Balls.
Becta is now seeking a single lead supplier to deliver numerous services for the event from 2011 to 2014.
The services will include PR, namely planning and managing PR activity and media relations, nationally and internationally. The brief also includes co-ordination, sponsorship and relationship management, event delivery and marketing, and design and delivery.
The brief reads: 'This supplier could be a single organisation delivering all services, or a supplier co-ordinating a number of subcontractors or partners.'
Band & Brown Communications head of public sector Simon Francis said agencies were increasingly having to work in collaboration with partners: 'The challenge, as with all multi-discipline briefs such as this, is to ensure co-ordination across delivery partners and a streamlined reporting process, while not tying implementation up in bureaucracy,' he said.
'While the natural home for the Becta work would be in a multichannel communications group, it will be interesting if management consultancies tender to lead on the establishment of a consortium to deliver the brief.'
The quango is currently assessing initial responses.
