Liberty Publishing, the start-up media group headed by Harrods-owner
Mohammed Al Fayed, is investing in a consumer, financial, corporate and
political PR drive to help it crack the UK market.
It has hired The Communication Group which is using ten of its 50 staff
to execute the campaign, believed to be worth around pounds 100,000 in
The PR company’s consumer team is working on the re-launch of Liberty’s
title Punch magazine, scheduled for 6 September.
The Communication Group is also managing the revamp of Liberty’s radio
station acquisition Viva 963.
On the public affairs side, TCG is advising Liberty on its application
for the new London FM licence and three East Kent licences.
