The publisher of the Guinness Book of Records has hired the Red
Consultancy to boost the profile of its brands.
Worth between pounds 50,000 and pounds 100,000 in fees, the Guinness
Publishing account was handed to Red after the agency was recommended by
Red has worked on a project basis for the brewers.
The campaign aims to raise the profile of Guinness Publishing at
corporate level, as well as boosting individual brands in the market
’The Guinness Book of Records is almost like an institution,’ said Red
managing director Lesley Brend. ’We want to get people to take it off
the shelves and make it more accessible.’
Red’s first task will be supporting the launch of the latest Guinness
Book of Hit Singles this month.
The book has been revamped to give it a more contemporary image, with a
more user-friendly layout and design and an introduction written by
comedian Mark Lamarr.
