The company reported PR revenues of $1.07bn. In comparison, its advertising revenues fell by ten per cent during 2009.
Excluding the impact of exchange rates and acquisitions, the group's PR revenues fell by 11 per cent. In 2009, PR accounted for less than ten per cent of Omnicom's total revenues of $11.7bn.
Fourth quarter figures were more promising, with PR revenues declining by 8.5 per cent, year-on-year. This compares to a third quarter decline of 15 per cent and second quarter drop of 18 per cent.
Overall revenues dropped by 12 per cent.
