Medical Imprint, the healthcare communications agency, has won a pounds
150,000 contract from the Department of Health to publicise and operate
the annual Health Alliance Awards next year.
The agency won the contract, which runs from April 1996 to the third
awards ceremony in April 1997, by beating three shortlisted agencies
from an initial pitch-list of 15.
The contract is one of seven tranches of health promotion work put out
to tender in a move to force the Health Education Authority to compete
with private sector agencies.
The HEA, with a yearly budget of pounds 36 million, has traditionally
dominated promotion activity for the Department of Health.
