Ministry of Defence staff have leaked secret information 16 times on social networking websites and internet forums in the past 18 months, a FOI request tabled by Lewis PR, to promote client F-Secure, has revealed. Ten personnel have been disciplined.

BBC Children in Need director of external affairs Emma Bradley is moving to become BBC head of marketing for news and current affairs. She was formerly marketing direc-tor at Tourism Australia.

East Renfrewshire Council PR chief Hugh Dougherty is standing down after 14 years heading comms. Dougherty, who is 60 this year, retires at the end of May. He first joined councils in 1985 as education press officer for the former Strathclyde Regional Council.

The Government Equalities Office has engaged Georgia Broome as interim head of strategic communications. She joins from her role as head of strategic communications at the Financial Services Authority. She replaces Nichola Yorke, who has gone to the Department of Health as deputy director of communications.
