Just weeks after Westminster was quibbling over just how much use John
Major had made of Ian Greer’s Daimler, ex-Ian Greer Associates group
managing director Andrew Smith has indicated that life may be a little
more rugged from now on.
Smith, now at Westminster Policy Partnership, was snapped this week
adopting an Easy Rider pose with fellow joint managing director Paddy
Gillford.
Smith, who has just passed his motorbike test, tells me - with perhaps a
touch of irony - that his new firm has company bikes rather than company
cars.
‘You might well find me turning up at clients’ offices on a bike, from
now on,’ he adds ‘and dropping off the odd document’.
As long as he puts his helmet on.
