Two international motoring organisations have poached Richard Woods
(left) from the RAC to be their campaigns and media director in
Brussels. The Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT), which
represents touring clubs, and the Federation Internationale de
l’Automobile (FIA), the main governing body of international motorsport,
have just set up a joint campaigns unit.
It will lobby on transport policy, safety and the environment and help
individual member clubs to tailor initiatives to local markets. Woods
will lead a team of four, including new campaigns manager Sean
Billingsley, who was previously campaigns and parliamentary affairs
manager at the RAC.
