International hotel group Westin Hotels and resorts has appointed
two agencies to handle its European media relations. For combined fees
of pounds 100,000 Manning Selvage and Lee will cover the UK and France,
and Adam and Partner in Frankfurt will cover Germany. The agencies
pitched against Hill and Knowlton, Grayling and UK incumbent CIB (PR
Week, 7 November).
’The agencies will target trade and consumer press and broadcast media
to increase brand awareness for Westin Hotels in Europe, the global
company and its individual properties,’ said Tom Eden, regional director
of sales and marketing for Westin in Europe.
