BORDER LINES: BUDAPEST - Powergen hires H&K in Hungary
British power generator Powergen has hired Hill and Knowlton Budapest to handle its PR as it consolidates its presence in Hungary. The account is worth around pounds 60,000 in fees and was won without a pitch. Powergen has announced plans to build a pounds 160 million power plant in Budapest, due for completion in 1999, and has signed a 20-year contract with Hungarian state electricity supplier MVM. H&K will work on all aspects of public affairs, including government relations.
