Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

Mandate Communications has hired Fishburn Hedges consultant Rupert Lewis as an account director within the public affairs team. Lewis was previously a member of the Conservatives' 2005 general election campaign team.

Communique has appointed Chris Magee as an account manager. Magee was previously at Quatro Public Relations and spent four years as an aide to transport minister Chris Mole. Communique is part of College Public Policy.

TLG has hired former Conservative Central Office staffer Jonathan French as a senior consultant. French was most recently assistant director of media relations at the Association of British Insurers. French's roles at Tory HQ included handling press for then party chairman Michael Ancram.

Politics International has published what it claims is 'the most comprehensive analysis to date of what the Conservatives are likely do in power'. It is billed as a tool to help businesses plan post-election strategies.

CORRECTION Last week we incorrectly reported that Politics International director Bill Clare is leaving the agency to become an adviser to shadow health secretary Andrew Lansley. In fact, Clare has been appointed chief of staff to shadow home secretary Chris Grayling.
