The think-tank, called Jures, will be headed up by Byfield founders Gus Sellitto and Richard Elsen, and freelance journalist and author Jon Robins.
Jures will aim to offer independent research and analysis on the big legal issues of the day.
‘We will be delivering a series of research papers throughout the course of 2010 on the big issues in the legal profession today,' said Robins. ‘We anticipate that the new decade is going to be a period of unprecedented change and uncertainty for the legal profession as a result of the ongoing reforms of the Legal Services Act 2007 and the likely change of government.'
Jures will offer a wide range of services and research expertise, mainly focused on legal services. These will include running both profile generating and strategic business research projects, organising conferences and launch events, document preparation, undertaking policy work, as well as advising on campaign strategy and PR.
