Kvaerner, the Norwegian shipbuilding-to-engineering group, is
looking for an investor relations manager.
Vice-president of corporate communications Paul Emberly said the search
had been ’on the back burner’ for the last few months.
The company has faced a series of setbacks over the past few months.
In February it posted a 70 per cent fall in pre-tax profits despite
recording a pounds 3 million pre-tax profit for its construction
Earlier this month the firm’s Govan shipbuilding works in Clyde lost a
pounds 200 million Royal Navy contract to the rival VSEL submarine yard
The investor relations post would be based at Kvaerner’s international
communications headquarters in London and report to senior vice
president Trond Andresen.
The company already employs an investor relations person in its Oslo
office in the form of assistant vice president of investor relations
Kvaerner has six business units. They are: shipbuilding, engineering,
oil and gas, construction, metals and pulp and paper.
