Olympic Park Legacy Company appoints Karen Webb as comms chief

The company responsible for the post-2012 development of the Olympic Park has appointed a director of marketing and communications.

Karen Webb joins the Olympic Park Legacy Company from Visit London, where she was a specialist consultant handling event planning for the Olympic Park.

She will be responsible for the overall positioning, branding and promotion of Olympic Park, including the development of the marketing, events and communications strategy.

Webb was previously a director at sports agency Vero and has more than 22 years of international experience in communications, brand and corporate marketing.

Webb takes up her appointment at the beginning of February.
