Berkeley wins NewVoiceMedia campaign work.

Berkeley PR has been appointed to head a campaign for cloud-based call-handling provider NewVoiceMedia after a four-way competitive pitch. The Reading-based tech PR shop will educate the SME market and demonstrate that smaller companies can benefit from using more sophisticated telephone systems. the sport social media portal, has hired Braben to handle its PR, ahead of a site launch later this month. The PR campaign will initially focus on the UK launch, with a view to global expansion.

Hotwire has named Brendon Craigie as its UK MD. He previously oversaw Hotwire's offices outside the UK. He is supported by Alex MacLaverty, who has been appointed MD of Hotwire's UK tech practice. Andy West, meanwhile, becomes MD, international.

Cow PR has spun off digital division Cow Digital into a new independent agency called Rabbit. Headed by Cow PR co-founder Dirk Singer, Rabbit counts MBT Trainers, Mathmos Laval Lamps and the Microloan Foundation as clients. Rabbit's digital creative and development will be handled by Cow Africa.

Tangerine PR has recruited Nick Vitale as digital marketing manager. Previously, Vitale was director of interactive design and media at Moderne Communications in New York. He will oversee the Dulux Decorator Centres and Concave football boots accounts. Kate Greville has also joined Tangerine, as an account manager from Brazen PR.

Edelman has beefed up its worldwide digital capabilities, adding David Armano as an SVP in New York and naming a new head of digital strategy in India. Armano joins from social media consultancy The Dachis Group. In India, Karthik S joins Edelman from Text 100 Bangalore.
