WPP folds Enfatico's PR division into Cohn & Wolfe

Enfatico, the WPP marcoms firm created to specifically service its global Dell relationship, has folded its PR division into Cohn & Wolfe tech agency AxiCom.

AxiCom will now act as global PR AOR for Dell, while also servicing other clients such as Cisco Consumer Products and McAfee.

The development will see the EMEA-focused AxiCom expand into the US, via a new HQ in San Francisco. AxiCom's US presence is headed by Kelly McGinnis, former chief communications offer at Enfatico.

McGinnis will report into Cohn & Wolfe CEO Donna Imperato. AxiCom Europe will remain under the leadership of CEO and founder Julian Tanner.

The news marks the latest stage in the unravelling of Enfatico, which was launched in 2007 amid considerable hype. Last year, however, WPP decided to fold Enfatico into its Y&R advertising brand, after being plagued with problems since its inception.
