Peterborough has higher than the national and regional average rates of teenage pregnancies.

Peterborough City Council is working in partnership with NHS Peterborough and Peterborough Community Services to reduce conception rates by 55 per cent and increase uptake of sexual health services by under-19s by the end of 2010.

Communications Management health practice director Sandra Phillips said: ‘Using social marketing to address health inequalities is key for the NHS right now. Brave and radical new ideas are needed and that is exactly what we intend to bring to this campaign.’
