The campaign will take place this year from 8-14 February, and aims to help give orphaned and abandoned children a family.

Members of the public can choose to sponsor a child for £20 a month, or can apply for a fundraising pack by registering online.

The charity's goal during World Orphan Week is to give 1,000 more orphaned and abandoned children a mother, a home, and a family for life.

SOS Children's main partner for WOW 2010 is the Monsoon Accessorize Trust. Monsoon has created a children's T-shirt from which 100 per cent of the profits will go to SOS Children.
