PR EUROPE: BRUSSELS - AVC-Rainbow and T-Media unite

Broadcast PR specialist AVC-Rainbow this week signed a partnership agreement with UK broadcast news consultancy T-Media, an agency headed by former BBC TV foreign editor Rick Thompson. The liaison between the two agencies has been conceived to capitalise on the expected increase in coverage of European Commission matters, particularly by TV and radio. This is likely to be fuelled in the UK by Britain’s presidency of the European Union next year. ’Next year will see crucial decisions on the single currency and the start of negotiations for another six countries to join the EU,’ said Thompson. ’However, many British journalists still complain that the EC is confusing or difficult to deal with.’
